Custom-made solid timber speaker boxes for guitar & bass.

Made in Castlemaine, Victoria, using predominantly native Australian timbers, we work with you to construct a cab specific to your needs. We can supply your cab with or without speakers. We can also build a matching chassis for your amp head, if required.

Cabinets can be built as dedicated open or closed back, or with
an adjustable back panel that can be opened or closed to best suit the room you're playing in. Speakers can be selected and wired to best match the power output and impedance of your amp.

Yellowbox is operated by Neil Thomason. Neil spent time as a touring and recording guitar player, before moving into audio engineering and later opening Melbourne's celebrated Head Gap recording studio. Today, Neil works with timber full time.

Pricing

Standard inclusions on all builds are solid timber carcass, dovetail waterfall joinery, fully enclosed plywood rear panel, leather handle and rubber feet.

Please note these prices are excluding speaker. We are happy to source and install your preferred speaker, or please send us your speaker and we'll fit it for you.

All prices are inclusive of gst.

Optional extras include corner protectors, piping, decorative contrasting timber pinstripes, recessed top handle and three-part rear panel for optional open back.Ultimately, custom cabs is what we do, so if you have something else in mind we can likely do that for you.
